Crown or bridge has fallen out

Cause

Dentists try our best to keep a crown in place however sometimes crowns do fall off.

Symptoms

The tooth may be sensitive due to the dentine being exposed. The dentine has little tubules running through to where nerve of the tooth is housed. You may experience sensitivity to hot or cold drinks. Sometimes there may be no sensitivity as the nerve may have been extirpated during root canal therapy.

Treatment for a a crown/bridge that has fallen off

If the crown and tooth is undamaged, we may be able to re-cement the crown.
