Cause
Toothaches have many causes. If you have a very severe toothache, it is often due to an infection of the nerve.
Symptoms
Biting down on the tooth may exacerbate the pain. The pain is often constant. Sometimes, the infection may spread and result in facial swelling.
Treatment for a toothache
If the nerve is infected we can try to save the tooth by completing root canal therapy.
